We have two small dogs and one is a puppy mill rescue. Every time we wanted to go away we felt sick putting them in a kennel. Darlene and Tom treat your pet like their own. We will never use a kennel again and will bring our dogs back to their service every time. We have been using them for 2 years now and we only have good things to say about each experience.  They have a wonderful home and setup for the dogs they take care of. Their own 2 sweet puppies make any visiting dog feel very much at ease. They spend quality time with your pet and give them love and affection, like only a true pet owner can do. I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how happy I was with the service you guys provided during Maisy's recent stay with Gino. I felt very confident that Maisy was in good hands with Gino and never once worried about her while I was away. When we all met, both you and Gino asked the right questions about Maisy, her habits, and her interactions with other dogs, all of which made your commitment to safety and professionalism clear. Also, in talking to Gino I discovered that his philosophy on dogs is very much like mine, which meant that I didn't have to worry about Maisy coming home with a newly-acquired habit of jumping up on everyone. Maisy needs for someone to be in charge, and I knew that Gino would fill that role. I also had no doubt that Maisy would get a healthy dose of love and affection from Gino and his family.

Suffice it to say, Maisy had a BLAST! When I went to pick her up, she was happy to see me, but in no rush to leave Gino's house and all her buddies.

Gino was a pleasure to work with and our dog Jessie seemed to have a great vacation while we were away on ours.  She came back home completely unstressed and in good health. I am little unsure that she really wanted to leave Gino when we came to pick her up. cannot begin to tell how good Gino was with her.

Darlene and Tom have been caring for our pets for years. They treat our three big dogs as if they were their own babies. My husband and I work long hours and wouldn’t be able to have our rescues if it weren’t for Darlene and/or Tom coming in every day to play, treat and check on our pups. They don’t even flinch when our elderly shepherd has an accident. Darlene and Tom are very vigilant when it comes to the pups and alert us to any lump, bump or behavior change that they observe. This makes continuity of care possible.
In addition to caring for our dogs, they keep our chaotic lives in a semblance of calm as they check on the pool, mail and even the tomato plants!
I have never hesitated to recommend Darlene and Tom to our friends and family. Each and every person that I have recommended them to are amazed at the care that the animals receive.

My dog Bailey (Sheltie) and I are from Miami and Bailey needed a place to stay in NJ as her back up "Aunt" could not keep her.  Bailey stayed 5 days at Aunt Darlene's Bed & BarkFest with Darlene and Tom and I must say at first I was a little nervous as my "baby" always stayed with friends. Tom and Darlene were like an Uncle and Aunt to her and she was treated royally!!  I highly recommend this Pet Hotel as it was just like Bailey had her own home and it was very clean, organized and odor free. I will definitely use them again!!

I was extremely happy with Darlene and Tom.  This place is by far the best dog boarding facility around.  They were both so loving and caring for my dog while I was away. Unfortunately my dog had bladder stones and had to have emergency surgery and I was worried if they would take him back into their home after surgery was over and they did.  They went above and beyond by caring for my dog and took excellent care of him until I returned.

Aunt Darlene and Uncle Tom are the BEST.

My husband and I relocated to NJ from Texas a little over a year ago. We had always left our 'bundle of Mini-Dachshund joy', Duncan with our beloved family and friends who were able to watch him if we were to go away-and we never worried a BIT about how he was doing because he was in the care of our closest companions who loved him like he was their own.

We had NEVER, EVER boarded Duncan before we moved here and when we realized that we had to do so on our first trips being up here alone I nearly had a panic attack. Not having any recommendations or initially doing deeper research to discover such a service as Aunt Darlene's-we set Duncan up at a doggie/kitty hotel near our house-yes it seemed nice on the outside but the way our dog came back petrified when we picked him up was absolutely heartbreaking. Yes, there are those people that say "dogs are just dogs and that it shouldn't be that big of a deal-they'll get over it", but I am one of those people that consider my dog like a child (there are many that feel the same!) and you'd want nothing but the best for them because they bring so much specialness to your life... and seeing Duncan's reaction when he jumped into my arms after being boarded at the one place made me sick to my stomach.

Many trips and nightmares later I made a serious effort to do better research and found Aunt Darlene's. I knew something better had to exist-SO TRUE!! All the testimonials on her page say everything perfectly about the level of service and love that they provide your pet. We will use no one else as long as we live up here. It says it all when Duncan knows the moment you pull up to Darlene and Tom's house and he is about to jump out of the car to make a run for Darlene, Tom and their two dogs, Buddy and Pebbles. It makes your heart want to burst when I pick him up and to see how he is so happy to see me, but sad to leave them-Duncan seems to go through a slight withdrawal with all the fun he had and now it's back to the boring mommy and daddy.  :)
